GROOVE ROLLER BEARING
A bearing is a machine element that constrains relative motion to only the desired motion, and reduces friction between moving parts. The design of the bearing may, for example, provide for free linear movement of the moving part or for free rotation around a fixed axis; or, it may prevent a motion by controlling the vectors or normal forces that bear on the moving parts. Most bearings facilitate the desired motion by minimizing friction. Bearing are classified broadly according to the type of operation, the motions allowed, or to the directions of the loads(forces) applied to the parts. The types of bearing applied on our groove roller are mainly needle roller bearing and thrust roller bearing.

● Needle Roller Bearing
Needle roller bearing is a special type of roller bearing which uses long, thin cylinder rollers resembling needles. Ordinary roller bearings’ rollers are only slightly longer than their diameter, but needle bearing typically have roller that are at least four times longer than their diameter. Like all bearings, they are used to reduce the friction of a rotating surface.
Compared to ball bearings and ordinary roller bearings, needle roller bearings have a greater surface area in contact with the races, so they can support a greater load. They are also thinner, so they require less clearance between the axle and the surrounding structure.
The needle roller bearings used on TUWEI groove roller are 4084105D, NK3520,NK30/30 and RNA6903.
● Thrust Roller Bearing
Thrust roller bearing is a particular type of rotary bearing. Like other bearings they permanently rotate between parts, but they are designed to support a predominantly axial load. It consists of small cylindrical rollers arranged flat with their axes pointing to the axis of the bearing. It gives very good carrying capacity and is cheap, but tend to wear due to the differences in radial speed and friction which is higher than with ball bearings.
The thrust roller bearings used on TUWEI groove roller are 889107D,889109,889105 and 889106.

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
● Bearings require periodic maintenance to prevent premature failure. The maintenance refers to lubrication and cleaning work.
● Find grease nozzles in the front of groove roller shaft. Fill the grease each work-shift respectively after removing the dusts around the orifice.
● Remove dirt, chips and foreign materials around the groove roller and groove roller shaft periodically.
● The needle roller bearing shall be lubricated with grease before re-assembling.
