GROOVED PIPE DIAMETER TAPE
Measure tape also known as go/no-go gauge, refers to an inspection tool used to check a workpiece against its allowed tolerances via a go/no-go test. Its name is derived from two tests: the check involves the workpiece having to pass one test (go) and fail the other (no-go).

For Roll grooving machine, there are many groove standard, such as OGS, OGS-200, AGS, IGS, every standard has it’s A, B, C diameter, Tuwei measure tape is made according to OGS standard. The below is the OGS standard form.

Tuwei started to export grooving machine from 2006, later many customers ask Tuwei whether we can provide grooved measure tapes as well, after studying about tapes, In 2008, Tuwei began to make tapes, we designed tapes according to groove standard, considering the difference of American pipe standard and British pipe standard, finally the first batch of tapes were launched in 2009.
At first, we make tapes by using plastic cover as Huangyan is the hometown of plastic and mold, the plastic cover is light and easy to get . But it is easy to be broken too as the material is plastic but the condition of site is a little complex. Then from 2013, we made the second version tapes by using metal cover to make it beautiful and solid. With the development of equipment, we made the third version tapes in 2017 by improving the accuracy, now our tapes is secondary accuracy.
PRODUCT FEATURE
a) Tuwei measure tape pocket-sized steel tapes for taking circumferential measurements, it is ISO 4200 pipe sizes.
b) Tuwei measure tape is from 3/4inch to 24inch, with OGS groove standard.
c) one side of Tuwei measure tape can be used to check cut or roll grooved pipe for conformance to grooved pipe specifications
d) another side of Tuwei measure tape is common metric 2 meter ruler
e) Tapes notched on the lead end to allow proper overlap within the groove for more accurate measurement
f) The box is made of Zinc alloy material , making it not easy to be broken.
g) The thickness of Tuwei measure tape is 0.1mm, with width 6mm, the background is yellow, and text and scale line is black, which looks clear to check.
h) Tuwei measure tape may not be used to measure cast iron, ductile iron, or copper tube sizes.
How to use Tuwei grooved pipe tape to measure groove?
a) Remove all loose dirt, scale, and paint from the pipe surface. Choose the appropriate side of the tape. Wrap the tape around the pipe, and overlap the two ends, as shown below. Make sure the tape is not twisted
b) When using the tape to measure the outside diameter, firmly pull on each end of the over-lapped tape. Determine if the origin arrow is within the “Pipe OD Range” band for the applicable pipe size. The origin arrow must be within this band to meet specifications
Now every Tuwei grooving machine will come with one measure tape in the tool bag, in the toll bag, we always put one set sealing kit, one flat screwdriver and one cross screwdriver, several allen key and open-end wrenches, one measure tape as well. we provide them just for the convenience of customers, easy to get the tools, easy to replace the seal rings, easy to check the groove after operation!
