PIPE GROOVE TAPE MEASURE
A diameter tape is a measuring tape used to estimate the diameter of a cylinder object, typically the stem of a tree or pipe. A diameter tape has either metric or imperial measurements reduced by the value of Π. This means the tape measures the diameter of the object. It is assumed that the cylinder object is a perfect circle. The diameter tape provides an approximation of diameter.
PRODUCT PROFILE
A pipe groove tape measure is similar to a diameter tape. There are Go/No-Go marking on one side of the tape. Wrap the tape measure around the groove on the pipe to check if the groove is within the Original Groove System groove specification. It is an essential tool when we use TUWEI roll grooving machines.
PRODUCT FEATURES
● Contains Go/No-Go marking on one side to check roll grooved pipe conformance to Original Groove System groove diameter specification.
● Tapes are notched on the lead end to allow proper overlap within the groove for more accurate measurement.
● The opposite side has standard measurements up to 200cm for measuring distance.
● Spring return pocket tape measure: it is small to generally fit in a pocket and the tape is returned to the zinc alloy case by a spring mechanism.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
● Capacity
The Go/No-Go marking is used to check groove pipe conformance to Original Groove System (OGS) (¾” -24”/DN20-CN600) groove diameter specification.
● Dimension
Strip: 200cm in length and 6mm across
Zinc Alloy Case: 4.5mm x 4.6mm
Carton Box: 57mm x 47mm x 20mm
PRODUCT USE
Choose the Go/No-Go side of the tape to check the groove diameter. Wrap the tape around the base of the pipe groove and overlap the two ends as shown. Make sure the tape is not twisted. Firmly pull on each end of the overlapped tape and determine if the origin arrow is within the “Groove Diameter Range” band. The origin arrow must be within this band for conformance to groove specification of Original Groove System.
