Groove Welding Repair Method

Groover welding repair method is a method to directly or indirectly plug the leak. This method is suitable for pipes with good welding performance and high medium temperature. Groover is not suitable for flammable and explosive occasions.

1. Direct welding method. The method of directly filling and welding the leak with an electrode is called the direct welding method. This method is mainly suitable for the plugging of groover low pressure pipelines.

2. Groover welding method. The weld does not directly participate in plugging, but only serves as a method of fixing the gland and the seal, which is called the groover welding method. The groover inter-groove welding method is suitable for plugging the parts with high pressure, wide leakage area, strong corrosiveness, thin wall and low rigidity.

3. The welding bag method. Groove is a method of welding the leak in the metal cavity to achieve leakage control, which is called the welding method. This method is mainly suitable for plugging flanges, threads, valves and pipelines.

4. The welding mask method. Cover the leaking part with metal cover, and fix the leak by welding. It is suitable for plugging parts with larger defects. If necessary, a drainage device can be provided on the cover.

5. Reverse welding method. Using the principle of weld shrinkage, the leaking cracks are welded in reverse direction one by one, so that the groover cracks are not leaked. The method of plugging which is beneficial to the formation of the weld bead is referred to as the reverse welding method, also called the segmented reverse welding method. This method is suitable for plugging low and medium pressure pipelines.
