AUTOMATIC HYDRULIC ROLL GROOVING MACHINE(TWG-IVZ)
TWG-IVZ Roll Grooving Machine is a fully motorized, semi-automatic, hydraulic-feed machine for roll grooving pipe. It is an ideal machine for factory prefabrication.
Tuwei assemble the whole machine and adjust all functions before packing, there is no need for customers to assemble the machine, but operators need to use the corresponding upper roller and down rollers and adjust the height of pipe before grooving, there are some problems need to be known how to shoot which will happen during using this machine.
PROBLEMS, REASON AND SHOOTING
1. Wrong groove dimensions
1.1 Using wrong grooving rollers
● Check the marks on the rollers before install roller on the machine
1.2 Grooving rollers worn.
● Change grooving rollers.
1.3 Setting Wrong groove depth
● Refer to the instruction manual. There are groove dimension and groove depth adjustment steps.
2. Machine does not start.
2.1 Power is not on.
● Turn on the main brake.
● Unlock emergency stop switch.
● Stamp the foot switch.
2.2 The relay is not in good condition.
● Adjust time relay.
● Adjust pressure relay.

3. Upper roller not roll
3.1 The surface of upper roller is rusty or dirty
● Cleaning
3.2 There are dirty or rusty inside pipe
● Cleaning
3.3 Upper roller wear and tear
● Replace
4. There is a sound when every circle
4.1 Weld line on pipe
● Sanding weld line on the pipe around 200mm from the end of pipe.
5. There is an echo during processing
5.1 The end of pipe is not smooth or grooving not vertically
● Sanding the end or groove pipe again
5.2 Over rubbing between pipe and upper roller.
● Put wax
5.3 Supporters are not in the right positions
● Adjusting
6. Flare over size
6.1 Supporters stand higher
● Adjusting
6.2 Guide-wheel push pipe hard makes pipe deviate center
● Make Guide-wheel back but still touch pipe
6.3 Feeding faster
● Adjusting flow-valve
7. Grooving could not be down
7.1 Too little hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil pump
● Oil Adding
7.2 Lower Working pressure
● Adjusting overflow-valve
8. Pipe runs off the grooving rollers.
8.1 Pipe not aligned axis-parallel to the machine
● Align pipe axis-parallel to the machine and support with height-adjustable material
● Adjust the pipe supports position
8.2 Grooving rollers worn or defective
● Change grooving rollers.
8.3 Incorrect pipe positioning of long pipe length.
● Pipe stand should be placed on the 3/4 pipe length
8.4 Lower roller and pipe are not rotating clockwise.
● Check the wire is correct or not
MAINTENACE
1.To check every moving part on this machine and make hydraulic oil full in the tank before starting operation. To clean the machine and put rust preventing oil after working, fill engine oil in every point needed.
2.One time for every shift to shot grease into nozzle on united head and upper roller shaft. Lubricant has to be put on all turning parts at least 1 – 2 times every shaft.
3.Replaced upper roller and Down roller should be put rust preventing oil and keep well.
4.Use right hydraulic oil. The hydraulic oil should be #20 (ISO Viscosity Grade 22)
5.Keep the needle bearing in the upper roller clean and put grease when replacing.
