GROOVED PIPE STAND
Grooved pipe stand is an important spare part for grooving machine, basically, it is used to support pipe, especially when the pipe is longer than 50cm, operators need to place 2 or 3 sets pipe stand when the pipe length is longer than or equal to 12M.
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
We designed different pipe stands for different models, different pipe stands with different structure, some are five claw base , but some are triangular base; some are screw rod structure, but some are supported by hydraulic oil pump; some are operated by hands, but some are adjusted by foot. Some are portable and light, but some are heavy enough which move forward or backward by using slideway. Some are with universal ball, but some are with bearings; some are using steel ball, but some are using nylon ball. Even though there are many kinds of pipe stand, but many pipe stands can not be interchanged because the central height of machine is different. Well the pipe stand for some models are universal, for example, the pipe stand for 2inch to 12inch roll grooving machine is same as 1inch to 12inch roll grooving machine, customers need to pay attention when place orders of pipe stand.
PRODUCT USE
Except supporting pipe, there are still two functions of pipe stand, one is adjusting pipe height and the other is avoiding pipe running.
a)No matter for roll grooving machine, or pipe cutting machine or other pipe working applications, operators need to adjust pipe height to meet the machines’ central height, but roll grooving machine is different from pipe cutting machine by adjusting pipe stand, for roll grooving machine, the pipe stand should be placed at a position equal to 3/4 of pipe, adjusting pipe stand height to make the pipe 1 degree lower than the horizontal level. But for pipe cutting machine, the pipe stand should be placed at a position equal to 3/4 of pipe, adjust pipe stand height to make the pipe at horizontal level. It is based on considering the pressure of steel pipe weight on the main shaft, the main shaft will slight downwelling, especially loading the bigger size pipe with long length.
b) Sometimes, pipe will run during the grooving or cutting, pipe runs inward or outward, at this time, operators need to adjust pipe stand by moving left or moving right.
Well it is easy to use pipe stand, but there are still many items need to be known when operating the pipe stand.
● familiar with the operation manual, Install any required parts, such as the hand screw. If any problems are found, do not use until corrected
● Locate a clear, level, stable location for the stand
● Do not exceed stand rating, it is better to use gradienter when adjusting pipe height.
● Place stands to properly support the pipe, The number and placement of stands depend on the specific circumstances, including pipe size, length and weight.
● Carefully place the pipe on the stands. Make sure that the pipe is properly centered on the stands to reduce the risk of tipping. Do not drop the pipe onto the stands. Do not exceed the stand ratings. Make sure pipe is stable and secure.
